''Velveteen'' is the second album from UK pop/rock band Transvision Vamp. The album was released in 1989, a year after their debut album ''Pop Art''. ''Velveteen'' produced such hits as "Baby I Don't Care" which reached number 3 in the UK and Australia. ''Velveteen'' went on to peak at No. 1 on the UK album charts in 1989 and No. 2 in Australia where it became the 39th highest selling album of the year (''Pop Art'' was #25). A video was released to accompany the album.
